Inspiration Image

For this week, I've been drawing inspiration from people like Travis Chantar: @chantar on instagram, or you can see his website at http://www.chantarphotography.com. He does very creative and innovative portraits, most often using things like flowers to cover the body, or body paint. I love his work because there's a subtle sexuality to them, without being too obvious given the delicate nature of the flowers and the intricate patterns. I think his work utilizes great elements of both color and composition and I hope to emulate his effervescence in my future portraits. Portraiture is my favorite medium of photography and I hope to create new work this semester that reflects my new aethstetic, of which I want to incorporate nature and natural colors, but also having a certain level of saturation.
